One thing is clear right now. The role that Facebook, You Tub and Twitter have played in the news coverage of the situating that is going on in Iran has changed news coverage forever.  I doubt very much if the founders of either one of the websites ever envisioned the impact they are playing in the world at this very minute.  One thing is for sure the value of Twitter especially has just increased by a large number.  It has been rumored that Google who owns You Tube was interested in purchasing Twitter.  Well, the price just went up.

In addition to these websites the importance of cell phones in spreading news has also grown exponentially.
